MY OWN DREAMS
Track 4 on Yehoshua's debut album, The Crown Out Of Which Dreams Arise.
THE CROWN OUT OF WHICH DREAMS ARISE
The Crown Out of Which Dreams Arise is the debut album from Toronto songwriter Yehoshua — nine long-form songs of dreamlike philosophical writing, drawing on Sumerian foundations of literature, Jungian alchemy, and information theory.
The album is a lyrical inquiry into the alchemical healing processes associated with the archetypes of the psyche, and into the deep structural archetypes that underlie the history of culture and the history of song. Working through a postmodern psychoanalytic lens, the songs examine space, mind, time, and emotional reality as central considerations of an alchemical individuation oriented spiritual journey. The composition of key information theory concepts in the fabric of the sound landscape informs an understanding of cultural history, art, and human relationships through sensual experience.
